David Goodenberger David Goodenberger, founder and head trainer for CrossFit Modig, has been an athlete and fitness enthusiast nearly his whole life. David began personal training in 2006, the last three years of which have been exclusively CrossFit. A former high school and college basketball player, David has always been passionate about exercise and nutrition. When he came across CrossFit in 2008, he was hooked. It embodies all the aspects of fitness and health that he has emphasized in his training. David has his CrossFit Level 1 and Olympic Lifting certifications.
Ryan Goodenberger Ryan Goodenberger is a life long athlete, playing soccer, football, baseball, and basketball at a young age. His main focus quickly became basketball in which he led his high school team to an undefeated season and 2 state tournament appearances. He continued his basketball career into college which included his serving as team captain and shutdown specialist on an NAIA National Tournament qualifying team.
Ryan was introduced to CrossFit by his brother, David, in 2009. He immediately drank the Kool-Aid. CrossFit provides a constant challenge and competitive nature not found in traditional elliptical laden gyms. After becoming Level 1 Certified, Ryan began personal training at a Globo gym while awaiting the opening of CrossFit MODIG. Ryan enjoys spending free time at the gym getting to know the members and watching everyone succeed in reaching life goals.
Corey Townsend Corey Townsend is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer and has her NASM CPT, and AFFA FT certifications. She has worked with a variety of people including special populations, athletes, kids, and the average Joe. Corey has found that CrossFit is a universal method of training applicable to anyone and everyone’s lifestyle. She trains to enhance every aspect of her life though fitness and health, as well as her clients.
Personally, she has been CrossFitting for about two years and admittedly has a guilty addiction to CrossFit and everything it encompasses. Corey has found that CrossFit makes exercise fun yet competitive and provides a great outlet. Plus, she finds the counterpart of being Paleo totally conducive with how she likes to eat… spoonfulls of almond butter with dark chocolate and bacon everyday!
